Hon. Federick N. Cottrell, 42, of Jamestown, died early Wednesday morning. For some eight years he represented his town in the General Assembly, both in the Senate and House. He was president of the Ocean Highland Co. and Treasurer of the Steam Ferry Co. and Conanicut Telegraph Co., as well as a prominent officer in the Aquidneck Agricultural Society. Henry Austin Wood III, a friend and cousin to many in Jamestown, and best known for his life's work, restoring Clingstone, the house on the rocks, died in Boston, January 27, 2017. He was 87. An architect in Boston he was a partner with Kallman McKinnell & Wood Architects, and was responsible for many public projects, most prominently the Boston City Hall.
