Warrant from Edward Carr, to Town Sargent Abel Franklin to notify the freemen to appear on January 17, 1775 at the home of Captain Benjamin Remington to draw two jurors as the law directs to serve at the next Superior Court to be held at Newport on Monday, March 5, 1775. Also to notify the freemen that a complaint was made by William Wilbur that an Indian man he came upon as he was crossing the ferry was in a suffering condition. Mr. Wilbur took the man to his house and provided for him and was now seeking support for this person as law and justice might provide. And to do any other business of the town.
