Casing of the champagne bottle used by Katherine Smith (who donated scrapbook 2006.157, now Kay Murphy) to christen the Jamestown Bridge in 1940. Her father John L. Smith, was president of the Town Council and Chairman of the Jamestown Bridge Dedication Committee. Used in the bridge exhibit at the library in the summer of 2006.

Bearing pin (steel) for a bridge girder section, from one of the east end piers. A bearing pin allows some expansion of the metal joint between girder section and pier, and carries the load of the section to the pier. It is a dumbell-shaped object. The diameter of the ends is about 3 inches and the diameter of the pin itself is about 2 inches.
