cannonball, large, with arrow head mark on top.
In a letter of March 3, 1981 from Craddock R. Goins, Curator, Division of Military History to Walter K. Schroder says "the cannonball is an example of an English 24 or 32 pounder cannon ball that could be from the Revolutionary or era of 1812 period. The mark you observed is probably the British broad arrow used to designate Government property." The cannonball weighs approximately 32 pounds.
