Take passage at Albany for NY, there stop at Hotel at Foot of Cortland St. Send a line to your Uncle Sam, at 30 Broad St. Should he not be found take the Steam Boat for Newport if any is going there, if not take the Boat for Stonington. There you will take the Rail Cars for Wickford Depot. There you can get a conveyance to your Uncle Charles Allens. If you go to Newport you will land on the Long Wharf where you can get a conveyance to the Ferry wharf and cross to the Iand of Connanicut. See that your Trunk gows with you."
